Dearest In One Christ
From: Sister Keren Happuch
Dearest In Christ, I am the Sister Keren Happuch from Kuwait. I am married to Mr. Christian Happuch, who worked with Kuwait embassy in Ivory Coast for nine years before he died in the year 2006.We were married for eleven years without a child. He died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days.

Before his death we were both born again Christian. Since his death I decided not to remarry or get a child outside my matrimonial home. When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of $9.5.Million in a fixed Trunk Box to one of the Church Security Company here in Abidjan.

Recently, my Doctor told me that I would not last for the next Eight months due to cancer problem. Having known my condition I decided to donate this fund to a church that will utilize this money the way I am going to instruct herein. I want a church that will use this fund for orphanages, widows, propagating the word of God and to endeavor that the house of God is maintained.

The Bible made us to understand that "Blessed is the hand that giveth". I took this decision because I don't have any child that will inherit this money and my husband relatives are not Christians and I don't want my husband's efforts to be used by unbelievers.
I don't want a situation where this money will be used in an ungodly way. This is why I am taking this decision.

I am not afraid of death hence I know where I am going. I know that I am going to be in the bosom of the Lord. Exodus 14 VS 14 says that "the lord will fight my case and I shall hold my peace". I don't need any telephone communication in this regard because of my health hence the presence of my husband's relatives around me always. I don't want them to know about this development. The onlything I may need from is
Your address
Your complet name & your photo or ID Card

With God all things are possible. As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of the Security Company in Abidjan where this Fund was deposited by my lat husband. I will also issue you an authorisation letter that will prove you the present beneficiary of this fund. I want you and the church to always pray for me because the lord is my shephard. My happiness is that I lived a life of a worthy Christian. Whoever that Wants to serve the Lord must serve him in spirit and Truth.

Please always be prayerful all through your life.Contact me on my email any delay in your reply will give me room in sourcing another church for this same purpose. Please assure me that you will act accordingly as I Stated herein. Hoping to receive your reply through my E-mail address: kerenhapp91@yahoo.co.jp ?

Remain blessed in the Lord.

From Sister
Keren Happuch.

Hello, im Cynthia Macalla Dumas , a filipina who resides in 4840 16th ave.S Apt.104 Fargo, North Dakota. I have just got married to Denis Dumas last June 5 of this year. Me and my husband used to attend sunday's mass in the Holy Cross Catholic Church of West Fargo since we live nearer to this place. Once we happened to pass by University drive Fargo, i saw the parish of St. Anthony de Padua cathoic church which has the same name of our parish in Gulayon , Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte , Philippines . I began to find the website of this parish . I found out that you have this adopt-a-parish program. I am glad to know about this program thinking that it might can help the on-going construction of our parish church in my native place . The priest-incharge is so active , hard-working and have encouraged the parishioners to give any form of donations to finish the church but most of the people living within this suburb have a low income families since most of them are farmers who are living in poverty . This quasi parish was erected last June 13, 2007 during the feastday of St.Anthony de Padua by the bishop of the Diocese Rev.Fr. Jose R. Manguiran, DD. I was the first parish secretary after it was erected .

In behalf of Fr. Jun Lomarda and the parishioners of St. Anthony de Padua catholic parish church in my native place , any help you can extend would be very much appreciated . Thank you very much . God bless us all . You can contact our parish priest in this address :

Please pray for parish's many dire needs.
Could you please offer us some unique ideas for fast fund raising since our
parish is in a critical situation due to cash flow problems?
We have a large debt due to a new gym and declining population at school
and church. New ideas for acquiring new population in church and school
would be most helpful. Prayers please. Many thanks.

I am the Bishop of WEwak in the East Sepik Province of PNG. I read with interest you 'Mass Times' project.
Is there anyone who could help me set up a web site for the Diocese allowing me to include diocesan updates and Mass Times and even the bishops sunday sermon in tok pisin?
I would also provide Mass (or Service) times for your project.
Unfotunately many of my parish centers in the sepik river and mountains only get Mass every 5-9 weeks. The main parishes are better served.

This message is for Caitlin Makielski of South Bend, IN. Please submit you email address for continued communication.

I just recently returned from the Singida region of Tanzania. My wife and I became very attached to one of the local parishes (Ntuntu) located in the Diocese of Singida (located within the Archdiocese of Tabora)while doing some volunteer work with an NGO (non government organization). We were only there for 4 week but it took less than that to steal our hearts.

We went to Tanzania to live in an isolated camp to spend 3 weeks helping build a new primary school. We donated money to the effort of building the school and also out time at the school. It was during some of our time off (from working at the school) that we became attached to Rev. Fr. Mrema and his congregation and his parish. We didn't want to leave. After our 1 week of Swahili lessons, and 3 weeks in the camp (working at the school) we were going to spend a week on a photo safari in the Serengetti region. Instead we used the money we set aside for that vacation and gave it to the diocese to devote to some projects being taken on by the Ntuntu parish priest, Fr. Andrew Mrema.

One project that really caught my wife's attention is the building of a girls dormitory to house 50 girls near the secondary school. This would allow some of the girls that have 2 or 3 hour walks to school (one way) to stay at the domitory and go home on the weekend or every week or so. That would help give them the incentive to stay in school and also avoid the long risky journey to and from. We bought the tin roofing material for this dormitory. Fr. Mrema has made a plea to a European parish for financial assistance with the materials. The local parishoners are providing the labor.

I thought it would be real nice for one of the more affluent parishes in the US to adopt one of the more impovershed parishes of Africa.

My wife and I are returning in the May/June '08 timeframe for only 2 weeks with the intention of relocating there for January '09 or the following year. We are both around 55 years old and finically capable of leaving what we have here (Baton Rouge, LA) behind and moving to Tanzania. I'll be happy to send you some of the photos I took.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Shannon P. Chapman

Peace of the Lord be with you. My name is Fr. JOhn Mbinda CSSp, a Missionary priest of the Holy Ghost Fathers congregation. I work in a very remote, drought prone, underdeveloped and isolated parish in EAst Pokot Kenya. We are involved in Primary evangelization and pre-evangelization works. We go out to look for people where they are and intermiggle with them with an aim of them one time accepting the Word of God. The culture of the Pokot People with whom we work is so rich. We endevour to learn the language and understand the culture before we can inculturate the gospel message.
In order to raise the living standards of the people, we are also involved in Medical services including HIV/Aids education, Anti FGM campaigns. WE also do education works, strive to provide clean water for the people by sinking boreholes and shallow dams, improve livestock by cross breeding especially camels. All these activities help us to mould integral human growth that respects the dignity of every human person.
Recently, the Pokot people have shown much interest in education. Unlike in the past, more parents are sending children to school. Unfortunately, East Pokot was somehow forgotten and the structures in most of the primary schools and the 3 secondary schools in the district are not conducive environment for learning. It is a common phenomena to find children studying under the tree without a blackboard and chalk! Those who manage up to standard eight (primary education) drop out since the parents cant afford fees for secondary education. The needs for these children are so many yet the MDG's urge us to ensure education to all the children. We invite anybody who has a heart of helping one or two children in education or any of the other areas I have mentioned above to get in touch with me for more information. My e-mail address is mbindajn@yahoo.com and my parish is Kositei Catholic Mission, P.O. Box 140 Marigat, 30403 Kenya.
God loves a cheerful giver!
Thanks and God bless.

Archdiocese of Caceres
St. Francis Xavier Parish
Halawig-gogon, Goa, Camarines Sur, Philippines

August 1, 2007

Greetings of Peace!

I am REV. FR. MICHAEL H. MARZAN, Parish Priest of St. Francis Xavier Parish in Halawig-gogon, Goa, province of Camarines Sur from the Bicol Region and located in the southern part of Luzon Island in the Philippines. St. Francis Xavier Parish belongs to the Archdiocese of Caceres, headed by His Excellency MOST REV. LEONARDO Z. LEGASPI, O.P., D.D.

This parish was just canonically erected last September 3, 2005. And I started the pioneering work in this parish to respond to the spiritual needs of the Catholics and to build the Church of the poor. Majority of my parishioners are living below the poverty line and in the underprivileged sector of society where farming is the main source of livelihood. Our parish is considered one of the poorest in our Archdiocese since we are visited by strong typhoons all year round.

Since the parish is new, The parishioners have a vision of building a modest and simple church where we can all gather and worship together thus, a sacred place for all liturgical celebrations and other religious gatherings.

It is for this reason that I am writing in behalf of my parishioners to explore possibilities with your group/organization for the chance to get funding assistance for the building of our Parish Church. We have planned to start the construction however, we don’t have enough funds to construct it.

Can we count on your help? Or if you can even refer us to other funding agencies whom we can write. Whatever assistance you can give we will be most grateful. The parishioners of St. Francis Xavier hope to hear from you soon.

In the service of God and His people I am,

REV. FR. MICHAEL H. MARZAN
Parish Priest

Noted by:

MOST REV. LEONARDO Z. LEGASPI, O.P., D.D.
Archbishop of Caceres

Greetings,
I work in a small parish in a town called lindley in the Free state province in central South Africa.
We are looking for help in setting up a support centre for the numerous street kids and other kids in the township, where they can come during the day maybe get meal, play and some help with their home work.
Also a toy library of some sort where kids can come borrow a toy and play with since toys are a luxury here.
So we shall be grateful for whatever assistance we can get.
My contact is fadacyprian@yahoo.com
God bless, Cyprian

I would like to help adopting a parish in Central America. Are there any churches that want to be adopted there?

Hello!
My name is Caitlin Makielski, I am a sixteen year
old student writing to you as a representative of
Saint Joseph's High School in South Bend, Indiana. Our
school is very involved in helping out in the
community but we are very interested in becoming more
involved on a global level. To make our fundraising a
bit more personal for the students at St. Joe, we are
very interested in the Adopt-A-Parish campaign! We
were wondering if there are any Parishes in the Latin
American or African regions that we could adopt and
what exactly the adoption would entail. We are eager
and excited to fulfill our duties as Catholic
Christians by extending our efforts to help our
brothers and sisters from different cultures and parts
of the world. Thank you so much for your time and
consideration!
Peace and Love in Christ,
Caitlin Makielski
